Consumer advocacy groups from 21 different nations have jointly submitted a formal complaint to the European Union regarding allegedly manipulative practices employed by Chinese fast fashion retailer Shein. Among the accusations is the use of psychological tactics that pressure customers into spending more than they intend to, including methods that shame individuals who choose not to purchase. The complaint, spearheaded by the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC), comprises a 29-page document
