Reality TV personality Chase Chrisley denies assault allegations at Atlanta bar, according to his representative

ATLANTA (AP) — A spokesperson for reality TV personality Chase Chrisley has refuted claims that his client physically assaulted the manager of a renowned Atlanta sports bar last week after being asked to leave, stating that the situation has been “overblown.”

Chrisley, who rose to fame on the reality series “Chrisley Knows Best,” which showcased his close-knit family dynamic, is accused of being intoxicated at the Twin Peaks restaurant on January 6. According to an Atlanta police report, he allegedly refused to leave the establishment when requested by the manager. The report also notes that Chrisley is accused of slapping the manager twice, including one instance while the manager was on the phone with a 911 operator, as evidenced by the released call recording.

“Chase Chrisley took responsible actions that night by contacting a driver to bring him home,” said Adam Ambrose, Chrisley’s representative, in a statement on Monday. “He did not engage in physical altercations. Chase was attempting to settle his bill before departing.”

The police report details that the manager described the 28-year-old Chrisley as “highly disrespectful and unruly,” stating that Chrisley repeatedly refused to leave when asked and that his behavior escalated, culminating in physical contact.

Authorities noted that Chrisley had already departed the scene with his driver by the time officers arrived. He was subsequently arrested on Thursday under suspicion of simple battery and later released on a $10,000 bond. This incident comes as Chrisley’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, currently serve prison sentences related to charges of bank fraud and tax evasion. In 2022, a jury found the elder Chrisleys guilty of orchestrating a scheme to secure over $30 million in fraudulent loans from community banks, as well as evading taxes by concealing their income.
