The authorities of South Korea have asked the Russian Embassy to remove a massive banner displayed on the facade of its building in Seoul. The banner, written in Russian and reading “Victory will be ours,” appeared just ahead of the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. According to Reuters, South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs formally conveyed its dissatisfaction to Russian diplomats. It remains unclear whether the embassy has issued any response to the request.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered the country’s nuclear strike capabilities to be fully primed for action. According to Reuters, citing state-run media, North Korea recently conducted missile tests aimed at sending a warning to "hostile forces who seriously threaten security and heighten tensions," while also showcasing the nation’s "readiness across various nuclear operations." "True deterrence and defense lie in overwhelming strike power," Kim stated.
